Our Baby Boy!

How cool is this?!!!! I saw him for the first time this morning. It was a whole new experience seeing him move around, and stretch out inside the womb. Amazing day. If you look down to picture 3 & 4, you will see our kid in 4D! I don't know what I was expecting to see in 4D, but this wasn't it. I thought they were going to be a little more clear than they are. If you look hard enough, you can see him laying on his side in picture 3. In picture 4, you can actually see some facial features. The doc said he is normal and healthy and growing right on schedule. I was so stoked to get my first glance at our kid, I had to get this blog done pronto. So you guys are officially in the loop. CAS JR.

Experiment with light...again.

I am still learning about light and where to position it for a portrait. These were just a few that I liked due to the shadows being cast on the wall behind me. The open door shot was sort of an accident, but then I ended up liking the tone in it. I fiddled with the contrast until it looked like this. I am trying to learn something new everyday, and as it turns out, I have a lot to learn about light. Something very easy to take for granted, you know?

I love my kids...

It started with Shadow getting her summer cut, a necessary evil for a Border Collie mix with a thick black coat. It ended with her having a mohawk, temporarily of course. Look at my little Wiley Coyote, with those skinny legs. The anal retentive part of me only let that haircut hang around for a few minutes. About as long as it took me to finish taking the photos, and then it was back to work. As soon as she was clean shaven, I went to work on the other pups. Taking pics of all the Casatelli children. When I get bored, and I often do, I end up turning my camera on my poor defenseless dogs. I rationalize it by telling myself they will enjoy their 15 minutes of fame on the internet. Dogs worry about that kind of stuff right? Anyway, below are Shadow, Gus, Nanook and Toby respectively. Best dogs ever.

Just saying hello...

No reason for this particular blog. I was bored and I happened to have this ridiculous picture on my phone. I figured...what the heck. My barber is a handsome man huh? Look at those jeans shorts. Brawhahahaha. Anyway, he did a great job on my hair. I look good....really good. Aside from that crazy facial expression.

Anyway, lots of work on the way. A few projects have come my way and I am in the process of building a new website where I will have my prints for sale. Gotta love that right? Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for the new pics and site. Updates coming soon...
