Have you ever just had one of those days? Ofcourse you have. Well today was one of those days for me. Nothing was going right, I was in a terrible mood, and there was no way I could turn it around. It was out of my hands. I really wanted to call it quits and go home.
Then, it was as if the fates smiled upon me. The sun came out, the wind was cool, and everything felt a little better. I got my camera out and took a walk. As you can see, it looks like Ferris Beuller's Day Off in these pictures. Crisp, and blue, and perfect. It is amazing how something so small as a change in the weather can change your outlook. It was just enough to get me by. As they say, tommorow is new day....

My neck of the woods...
To say I live OTP would be an understatement. Its more like...WAY OTP. Just outside my neighborhood...cow pasture. But sometimes solitude has its advantages. For instance, I have been driving past these barns, shacks, and old gas stations everyday for the past three years, and this weekend was the first time I stopped to take a closer look. Dirt and rust and age are very interesting to me. Great colors and textures. I guess, I just like the simplicity of these structures. No need for form, only function. These kind of buildings are all around me. Maybe that is why I forget to take a second glance.

Drifter Skateboards Product Shoot Vol. II
Drifter Skateboard shoot, numero dos. This time was way easier than last time. Cotton does not reflect light quite the same way as finished wood. Dealing with those reflections was a challenge. But then again, I do like a challenge. The only challenge I faced with the t-shirts was to make sure the logo was clear and visable while showing the whole product. I decided to add an inset photo to show the graphics details. Especially on the third photo. The text on the shirt was too small to be photographed from distance. I wanted to add a shadow underneath the shirts to give it some depth, but it ended up looking like just another shirt. Here are the finished products...

Good looking or what?
What can I say? I have some good looking friends. These are just a few of the dogs that I am currently training. I could give you commentary on each photograph, but it would only show you what a dog freak I really am. I don't want to scare you away just yet.

Experiment with light...
Once again my lovely wife was kind enough to volunteer as a model for these shots. Little did she know, she would have to suffer a couple of first degree burns during the process. I get an idea in my head for a shot and then I can't let it go. Luckily, I have a very patient wife who allows me to go through the trial and error process.
The first picture was an attempt at splicing two photos together. It is not exactly seemless, but I am pretty satisfied with the result. I wanted a spooky vibe.....let me know what you think.

Spring cometh...
Even service dogs need to have some down time. With the weather warming up, we decided to run wild on the agility course at work. Lakai is the black lab, and her brother Bones, is the Yellow lab. They had a blast and I managed to catch a few pics while they caught their breath. I also threw in a few other pics that I liked.

Drifter Skateboards Product Shoot...
I recently did a product shoot for Drifter Skateboards, a local Atlanta skateboard manufacturer. I had to do a lot in post to put them on a crisp white background, but I like the way they turned out. These were the keepers out of the bunch.
