Your Other Right!

Finally..... after all the drama....after all the build up.....after all the stupidity. I got cut! Yup, I went under the knife to fix that bum ankle. It all started when I tore several ligaments at the wee age of 16. Add several years of soccer, running, muay thai and kick boxing and presto...busted ankle. You can see in my MRI that I have some chips of bone floating around in my joint...GRRRIIIINNNDDD!!

This was Karen's doing. She was trying to insure that the surgeon didn't slice and dice the wrong foot. It must have worked because....

my right one is all jacked up. Here is a lovely shot of the post op ankle. Stuck watching the US Open all day editing photos with my foot in the air. Its only been 24 hours and I am all ready going stir crazy! Well with all this spare time I will at least be able to catch up on some blogging. More photos to come so keep checking in....

Just some random shots of my day....

Definitely not a cohesive thought, but here they are anyhow.
The sun was coming up this morning and everything was perfect. The light, the breeze, my attitude. So I pulled over and popped off a few shots. It was a good start to my day. I wish they started that way more often. Then I went to visit my equestrian friends on my lunch break. I have passed by this "rubber horse swing thing", at least a thousand times without ever really looking at it. So I decided to take a shot. Right next door was my boy Coal, so I forced him to pose for me. One of the perks of working on a farm. Taking lunch with the horses. They are often better company than your average Joe.

Comcast Shoot with Sevendust!!!

That's right!!! Hometown boys done good! SEVENDUST!
This weekend I had the opportunity to go interview and shoot the band at The Tabernacle here in Atlanta. It was their first show at home with the original lineup. An amazing band on so many levels. Friendly, personable and they made you feel important even though it was their night to shine. The interview with Lajon was ideal. He was incredibly selfless, giving props to all the other bands on the tour, the fans and everyone in the Sevendust family.

I have not even started editing yet, but I was so stoked about the show that I had to put up some raw shots today. I will let everyone know when the whole gallery is up on the website so keep checking back. Just a couple of teasers....

A new addition.....

NOT TO MY FAMILY! This tiny pup would never make it in my house. Gus would use him for a chew toy. This long haired Chihuahua, is the newest pack member in my friend Ashlea's home. These photos were taken just before he got his brains removed..... (neutered)

As you can see, in the first 5 pictures, he is as happy as can be. Then.....In the very last picture... you can see something has changed. A dazed look of betrayal in his eyes. You poor poor man.

I hope frogs are good luck...because we have a ton of 'em.

Seriously. Every time I turn around we have frogs crawling all over our house. This guy keeps coming back to our front door to hang out by the lights. I guess he is looking for a good place to hunt. He was pretty trusting,(or was too full to run) as he let me get super close to take his picture. Sweet...

Wedding bells in Atlantic Station...

Once again, Nina Sutherland has given me a huge opportunity to learn from a professional. We shot a beautiful wedding, on a beautiful day, in a beautiful part of town. What more can you ask for, right? Here are a couple of my favorites from the day. Thank you Nina!

Sunflower fields...

Couldn't pass this up. A huge sunflower patch just a few minutes from mi casa. Mom and Pop operation where you do all the sales on the honor system. Crazy right? Trust. What a interesting concept. Anyway, my friend and I grabbed our cameras and got to shootin'. This is what we saw. And go check out my friend Ash's pics too...
